Long wanted by students at Wellesley High School, water bottle-filling stations will soon be arriving at WHS. According to Principal Dr. Andrew Keough, the brand-new water bottle-refilling stations should be arriving shortly.
There will be two locations for the new stations; one will be by the gym locker rooms (specifically intended for athletes) and another by the cafeteria. Both are planned to open soon, with the one near the locker rooms as soon as next week. The station in the cafeteria is expected to take longer due to some minor plumbing issues. All of the installation work is being done by the Town plumber.
The water-bottle refilling stations are also expected to benefit the school community by helping to reduce the plastic bottle waste produced by students and encouraging the use of reusable water bottles.
Funding for the project was provided as a gift from the WHS Class of 2013.
